Haha, now you know what we deal with on a daily basis. Nobody said it was easy, it's worth it though!

I'm not sure referring to them as "the bastards" will help your cause haha. Also, dirt jumps require maintenance, skateparks you can just build them and leave them be. DJs can be vandalized more easily by some any loser with a shovel. Skateparks appeal to broader interests like skateboarding and inline skating along with BMX and MTB. DJs are there soley for bikers. There's just not enough of a demand for city funded trails right now, sorry. Although it would be awesome, it's been tried and failed countless times.

Whistler's a different story, they've had a mountain bike scene for decades. Here, we didn't even have rabbit hill to ride at until a couple of years ago. Jay Hoots even came here saying that he would help out and build a city sponsored park a few years back, but the city still turned it down. If Jay Hoots can't convince the city, I doubt I can. I'll be happy if they let me put on the jam haha. It'd be nice to have a freeride park here, but it's not likely.

City funded freeride parks have been tried many times before, so I doubt it'll go through, especially in Bearspaw.
